Therapeutic Activities
Once children with special needs begin an Intervention program, they receive a great deal of therapeutic activities.These activities increases social skills while strengthening the bond between the child and their environment. Since each child is unique, it is reasonable to have a variety of approaches to introduce and keep the child focused. Some approaches are:
- Cognitive/mental stimulation
- Facilitating Sensory and motor(movement) development.
- Facilitating appropriate behavior and social skills.
- Stimulating visual motor and visual perceptual skills.
- Facilitating self-help skills (self feeding, dressing, toileting e.t.c).
- Facilitation and stimulation of functional mobility.
- Enhancing language and communication skills
- Appropriate assistive devices and rehabilitation equipments.
